Every day, John dishes out a winning attitude and desire to deliver an exceptional dining experience. With more than 28 years of culinary knowledge, you’re sure to find something to tickle your taste buds from his own innovative creations.
John’s culinary education began at the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts taking courses in Food Preparation, Kitchen Management, Confectionery and International Cuisine. He honed his unique skills while working at the Bon Fire in Ocean City, MD, where he studied and specialized in the creation and preparation of seafood dishes. He brought those skills back home to the Mountaineer Racetrack and Resort and T-Bones American Grill in the East Liverpool Motor Lodge. Hot Shots is blessed to have such fine talent to create delectable dishes for you!
Dave and Robin Moadus bought Hot Shots in 2012. Dave formerly worked in the insurance industry, and Robin was an area banker. Their combined 60+ years in business and customer services, blended with the extensive restaurant experiece of Chef John , has resulted in an amazing dining experience! Originally the Turf Supper Club, the Hot Shots venue has served the Chester community for over 40 years.
